Services

The Rootstown Fire Department has proudly been serving the citizens of Rootstown Township since 1938. Over the years the department has evolved with the changing needs and expectations of the community. The Rootstown Fire Department responds first due to all 9-1-1 emergencies within our Township. These responses require our department to be proficient in a vast number of technical specialties. Along with fire suppression and EMS services, these specialties include hazardous materials response, confined space rescue and other disciplines that allow us to assist in mitigating risks or hazards to the general public.

The Rootstown Fire Department also provides services not directly related to 9-1-1 responses. These services include an emergency notification system, a residential key box program, medical information pouches, and free BP checks at the station.
