Fire Safety Inspections

The Rootstown Fire Department conducts fire safety inspections of commercial buildings in Rootstown Township to protect the property and the safety of the building owners, employees and general public.

These inspections include:

• Walk-Thru maintenance inspections checking for general fire/safety hazards as set forth by the Ohio Fire and Building Codes.
• Verifying service of required fire protection systems such as:
  • Sprinkler Systems
  • Alarm Systems
  • Kitchen Hood Suppression Systems
  • Fire Extinguishers
• Pre-Incident Planning
  • Department walk through to familiarize members to the building layouts and systems that we would interact with during an emergency response.

The Inspection Bureau also provides residential inspections for adoption and foster homes as set forth by the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
